Julie Guthrie, PT, DPT, OCS

Julie Guthrie PT, DPT, OCS has been a physical therapist for 19 years in the Los Angeles area. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2000 from the University of Southern California. She received specialized training for the management of individuals with pelvic floor disorders while in her clinical rotations, and then took this experience to initiate pelvic floor programs at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, Kern & Associates Physical Therapy, and Davis & Derosa Physical Therapy.

Not solely focusing on pelvic floor issues, Julie received the distinction of becoming an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2006. She has also been active in the education arena in both the clinic and the classroom for both the University of Southern California's and Mt. St. Mary's University physical therapy programs.

Seeking balance in life, Julie is passionate about promoting active lifestyles in youth and working with the adolescent athlete. Previously a gymnast-turned marathoner and triathlete, she now enjoys chasing after her six-year old daughter and training in the dark hours of the morning.

“Julie is truly the smartest and most caring PT I have encountered as a professional athlete. She helped me evaluate weaknesses in my running style and develop exercises to strengthen these areas. I recommend Julie to all of my friends and family." — Hillary Biscay, Ironman Wisconsin Champion
